Rishab Shetty's Kantara Chapter 1 has passed a huge milestone at the global box office by ₹500 crores in just over a week of its release. The epic prequel produced by Hombale Films has gathers ₹509.25 crore worldwide, thus confirming Shetty's power in Indian cinema.

On October 2, 2025, the movie was released as a prelude to the 2022 Kannada blockbuster Kantara, which revealed the magical roots of the audience-catching world of three years back.

Hombale Films made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) and expressed their appreciation to the fans for the enormous support they have been receiving.
